Bad Celebrity Cosmetic Surgery

One would think that with their high incomes, Hollywood celebrities would be able to afford the best in cosmetic surgery. While they may be able to afford it, many clearly lack the judgment to make wise choices. When you undertake a cosmetic procedure you should have a good idea of the results you can expect. What you want may not be completely possible, but your surgeon should make very clear the range of outcomes to be expected from the proposed procedure.

Unfortunately many people don't have the slightest idea of what to aim for. Most people don't want to look different, they just want to look better. A good starting point is to look at pictures of yourself when you were younger. Discuss these with your surgeon. If you want something changed, such as a big or misshapen nose or a small chin, then bring in pictures of noses or chins you feel are attractive. A good cosmetic surgeon should be able to tell you whether your goals are realistic. Another place to look is in the magazine ads. The models in these ads generally, with some exceptions, represent what is currently considered to be attractive.
If Kenny Rogers had used either of these approaches, he would not have ended up with the feminized upper eyelids that he now has. It is desirable for men to have some overlapping skin on the upper lids, but Rogers has the broad open lid that used to be considered desirable in a woman. Of course it would have been nice if his surgeon had discussed this or had the aesthetic judgment to point it out, but at least some awareness on Roger's could have made up for the surgeon's deficiencies and possibly prevented an irreversible bad cosmetic result.
Joan Van Ark has had multiple poor procedures. Her brows are unnatural. Her cheek filling and her lip filling are poorly done and not at all youthful looking, lacking the shaping characteristic of youth. Her face is hollow and almost cadaveric looking.
In contrast, Madonna looks quite good. Her lips are well done and her cheeks are full, although a little hollow centrally. Her skin is wrinkle free, possibly the result of laser peeling and Botox. Whatever she has had done has been done well and appropriately.
Johnny Depp apparently has had nothing done, but would benefit from some filler. As he has aged, he has become increasingly gaunt looking and could easily be mistaken for someone who has the facial fat loss associated with aids.
Certainly everyone has the valid option of aging naturally, but if you're going to have something done, be sure you have some idea of the expected outcome.

What you said about Johnny Depp is ridiculous. He doesn't look like he has Aids. Take a look at some recent photos and then go put yourself out of your misery after you realize that you will never look as good as Johnny Depp.
